2012 Olympics: So Far So Good

All week I have been looking forward to watching the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony. Every four years, I get comfortable, sit down and watch the exuberant display culture and history that the host location spends four years planning.  This is followed by the Parade of Nations where the worlds top athletes show their native pride. Every four years this is demonstrated a little differently but still has the same lasting effect.  Seeing all of the excitement on the faces of these athletes from all over the world can not help but cause some type of emotional response from the athletes and those viewing. » Read more..

Just a Couple of Things to Keep Your Facebook Account Safe

In the past few weeks myself and many people I know have had issues with their Facebook accounts.  My sister seemed to start the first of trend of hacked accounts last week.  I was a victim also.  Many times when a hacker is successful on one person’s account, they will move on to that person’s friends.  As of right now, my sister still does not have control over her account and it has really been a big hassle.  One reason why it was not that much of a hassle for me is, I caught it early with my mobile notifications.  I am amazed as to how many people do not have this feature enabled on Facebook.  It is very easy and could possibly save you from losing your account to a hackers.

First, In the upper right hand corner of your Facebook account, go to your account settings.

Two Ways I Make Extra Money From Home

Many of us are looking for ways to make some extra money in this tough economy.  I have been working online for a couple of years now.  Some of the income earned is from my personal business but in my quest to be able to continue working from home, I have looked for some additional ways to earn extra cash.  None of these methods will make you rich or anything but they are ways to put a few additional dollars in your pockets.  Here are five that are working for me.

 These are places online where you can go and list items for a price are great at earning some extra money.  The next time you clean out your closet or redecorate your home, you might be able to sell some of your unneeded items online. Some costs small fees and some are free depending on the method and/or site you choose. It is always important to make sure what is expected from you, if anything before placing a listing.
